I was scanning through either pinterest or foodgawker, and came across the idea for this recipe. The main recipe, from this blog, used amaretto instead of coconut rum, but the rum was all we had that I felt would compliment the flavor from the cherries.
First wash your cherries and then put 4 small slits into each cherry so they can soak up the flavor from the rum. Then place them in a mason jar.
Second fill the jar with the rum until all the cherries are covered. Close the jar and
place in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
place in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
After 24 hours, take cherries out and rub/dry them so the chocolate can stick to them.
Melt white chocolate bark (I used microwave) and dip cherries in the chocolate and let them cool on wax paper
(no measurements are needed because everything needed can be used to fit the amount of cherries on hand)
